Understanding the perfect spin bowling using Solidworks Motion

Just to put it out there, I love cricket. It is one of my biggest passions and favourite pass time. I am always fascinated about the techniques needed to do the perfect bowl – achieving that optimum height and speed, and that killer spin. Everybody has their own way of throwing, but the common thing about all good throws are the physics involved with it.

So what is the best initial velocity? Or what is the best angular velocity (increased no of revolutions) needed to give you that deadly spin? Well I decided to figure that out using Solidworks Motion. With Solidworks Motion I can do iterations on all kinds of initial states of the throw to know whether it gives the best outcome.
